General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a shocking loss will soon blindside Port Charles’ favorite female double agent. Could it be true that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is about to experience every mother’s heartache all over again?
If this wild new General Hospital buzz is true, WSB agent Anna is about to lose yet another child to the Jerome family mob machine! Loyal GH fans will remember that back in the day Anna and fellow espionage expert Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) were very much in love and looking forward to becoming parents. But their fairytale ending wasn’t meant to be.
At the time, Duke worked for the notorious Jerome crime family, and one of its more lascivious members had the hots for her employee. Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) was quite smitten with the dark haired Scotsman and she was determined to wrest him away from Anna.
In the end, a physical confrontation with Olivia caused Anna to lose the baby that she and Duke were so looking forward to. Anna always hated the Jerome family’s influence over Duke, and her loss only intensified her animosity.
Fast forward to the present day, when Anna was shocked by a surprise visit from Duke’s heretofore unknown, adult son! Handsome, raven-haired Griffin Monroe (Matt Cohen) was a walking, talking embodiment of Duke’s better self, and it was a fabulous gift for Anna to have a part of Duke back in her life.
But if this new GH spoiler pans out, Anna’s world is about to be shattered all over again when Griffin abandons his newfound mother-figure Anna for his biological mother, Olivia Jerome! Anna is shocked to discover that her arch enemy is Griffin’s mother.
Olivia is a heinous monster no doubt, but saintly Griffin’s blind devotion to seeing the good in bad people (remember his defense of Sonny when everyone thought he killed his son?) will lead him to come to Olivia’s defense, much to Anna’s offense!
What effect will this huge upset have on Anna when her mini-Duke rejects her for Olivia? You can bet that Anna will not take Griffin’s treasonous actions laying down! If the past is any indicator GH fans, Anna will be in for the fight of her life once Hurricane Olivia hits town!
