Huening Kai (born August 14, 2002) is a Korean-American Singer, K-Pop Star, Dancer, Rapper, and Visual Artist from Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. He is also known as the third member of the boy band TXT.
TXT stands for “TOMORROW X TOGETHER” in Korean translation it is pronounced as the “TOMORROW BY TOGETHER”. The group consists of 5 boys under Big Hit Entertainment.
Kai was introduced on January 15, 2019. The names of the group’s other members are Yeonjun (introduced on January 10, 2019), Soobin (introduced on January 13, 2019), Beomgyu (introduced on January 16, 2019) and Taehyun (introduced on January 17, 2019).
In an introduction video, Kai was seen running from one place to another in the park with his dog, eating some crisps, and sitting the incorrect way up on a park’s bench.
The whole video ends with a blank screen as an international Morse code, which fans fastly decrypted to translate into the word “Dreaming”.
They all debuted on March 4th, 2019 with their original small album “The Dream Chapter: STAR”. There are no set positions within the group, it changes with each comeback/song.
Their mini-album includes a total of five songs: “Crown”, “Blue Orangeade”, “Our Summer”, “Cat & Dog” and “Star’s Nap”.
TXT is the very first Big Hit Entertainment group to have an official fan community website in English. Now it supports three languages: Korean, Japanese & English.
