Bryan Slaton Wife: Meet Sharmen: Born on February 2, 1978, Bryan Slaton, officially known as Bryan Lee Slaton is a former pastor and American politician
He attended Ouachita Baptist University, receiving a BA in youth ministry and speech communication. He then attended the University of North Texas and earned a degree in accounting.
Slaton later earned a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He then served in the ministry as a youth and family minister for 13 years.
As a politician and a member of the Republican Party, Slaton represented the 2nd District in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023.
In March 2021, he introduced a bill that would abolish abortion and make it a criminal act, whereby women and physicians who received and performed abortions, respectively, could receive the death penalty.
The bill made no exceptions for rape or incest; however, it provided exemptions for ectopic pregnancies that threaten the woman’s life.

In June 2022, Slaton said in a social media post that he planned to introduce legislation in the 2023 legislative session to ban minors from drag shows in Texas.
A drag show is a form of entertainment performed by drag artists impersonating men or women, typically in a bar or nightclub.
Drag shows can range from burlesque-style, adult-themed nightclub acts to all-ages events with sing-alongs and story times.
In an interview Slaton said; “Children don’t need to be focused on sex and sexualization, and we need to let them just grow up to be children and let them do that as they’re getting closer to being an adult”.
In March 2023, Slaton introduced HB 3596, the “Texas Independence Referendum Act” (TEXIT), which would allow for a referendum to investigate the secession of Texas from the U.S.

Aside from being a former pastor and a politician, he also works for his family business, Slaton Financial Services.
In May 2023, the Texas state representative, Bryan Slaton hit major headlines when he resigned from his House membership on Monday, May 8.
His resignation comes after an investigation determined he supplied alcohol to a 19-year-old aide and had sex with her at his apartment after she was intoxicated.
He resigned just two days after a Texas House committee found he violated multiple rules through the inappropriate relationship with the young woman “who was unable to give effective consent” because Slaton was her boss.
According to the House committee report, Slaton invited the teenage aide to his apartment on March 31, supplied her with rum and cokes to the point she felt intoxicated, and then had sexual intercourse with the young woman.
The committee of three Republicans and two Democrats unanimously recommended Slaton be expelled from the House in their report.
The Texas state House voted unanimously on Tuesday, May 9 to expel a lawmaker who had been accused of sexual misconduct, just a day after he resigned from his seat.
Bryan Slaton Wife: Meet Sharmen
The former pastor, Bryan Slaton married his second and current wife, Sharmen in 2017. It’s unclear when the couple met but reports say they’ve been together for many years.
In April 2022, Sharmen filed for divorce and then withdrew it in November 2022. His wife has supported him throughout his political career, contributing to his rise as a prominent figure in Texas politics.
Sharmen lives her life away from the spotlight hence her date of birth, age, and occupation was not available at the time of this writing.
