Erin Moran, known for her roles in “Happy Days” and “Joanie Loves Chachi,” was an American actress. She was born on October 18, 1960, in Burbank, California, and was the second youngest of six children. Erin Moran’s acting career took off with a role in the 1966 TV series “Daktari” and she continued to secure various roles in both series and movies. She rose to fame when she played Joanie Cunningham in “Happy Days” and its spin-off “Joanie Loves Chachi.”

Apart from “Happy Days,” Moran appeared in movies and made guest appearances on television shows such as “The Love Boat,” “Murder, She Wrote,” and “Diagnosis: Murder.” In 2008, she participated as a contestant on VH1’s reality show “Celebrity Fit Club” and later appeared in the independent comedy film “Not Another B Movie.”

Moran’s personal life included two marriages; the first with Rocky Ferguson in 1987 ended in divorce in 1993 while the second was with Steven Fleischmann in the same year. Reports emerged in 2010 that her California home had been foreclosed upon, and eventually, she moved into her mother-in-law’s trailer in Indiana. It was revealed in 2017 that she was allegedly evicted from her Indiana trailer due to her persistence.

Erin Moran’s death on April 22, 2017, was reportedly due to complications related to throat cancer. She had concealed the extent of her cancer’s progression from her family members. Moran was survived by her husband Steve Fleischmann, and they did not have any children together.
