The 44-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star and the 37-year-old former NFL player are reportedly living separately within their Georgia mansion, with their four children – Kroy Jagger (KJ), Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane. Despite facing financial issues, including unpaid taxes, and foreclosure proceedings, the couple continues to cohabit.
Kim filed for divorce, citing an irretrievably broken marriage with no hope of reconciliation, seeking sole physical custody of the children and spousal support from Kroy. She also requested the restoration of her maiden name. Conversely, Kroy filed a petition for divorce, requesting sole physical and legal custody of the children, possession of the home, and that Kim vacate the premises, while also seeking to maintain all financial documents amid their tax issues.
Sources indicate that their split primarily stems from financial pressures, with reports suggesting that the strain of a million-dollar tax payment played a significant role. Despite the financial challenges, it has been emphasized that there was no infidelity involved. Kim and Kroy first met in 2010 at a charity event and got married in 2011. The divorce news comes amidst reports of the couple’s alleged unpaid taxes to the IRS.
